Studio note
Neon has officially done enough.
A small intervention for designers still reaching for glow before an idea.Neon became shorthand for energy, technology and the future. Repetition turned it into visual filler. Color should carry meaning, not compensate for a weak concept. The next useful palette may be quieter, stranger and far more specific.
The useful question
The point is not to replace one visual rule with another. It is to ask whether the decision still carries meaning after the trend, tool or presentation effect has disappeared.
Design becomes useful when the visible gesture and the system underneath it agree. Taste starts the conversation; consequences decide whether the work lasts.
